Who Should NOT Take Glutathione Do not take this medication if you: Have a known allergy to glutathione or any ingredient in the formulation Have been advised to avoid antioxidant or detoxification therapies Are receiving active chemotherapy unless specifically directed by your oncology provider Have severe uncontrolled liver or kidney disease without provider clearance Before Taking Glutathione, Tell Your Healthcare Provider if You: Have asthma or a history of bronchospasm Have liver or kidney disease Are undergoing chemotherapy or cancer treatment Take high doses of acetaminophen, which may affect glutathione levels Take any prescription, over the counter, or herbal medications Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding Possible Side Effects Common (mild to moderate): Redness, pain, itching, or irritation at the injection site Mild fatigue following infusion Abdominal cramping Skin lightening due to changes in melanin production Serious (seek medical care immediately): Rash, hives, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing Trouble breathing due to bronchial constriction Signs of liver or kidney problems such as unusual fatigue, dark urine, or decreased urination Neurological symptoms such as confusion or severe weakness While Taking Glutathione Tell your healthcare provider immediately if you: Develop shortness of breath or wheezing Experience severe fatigue, weakness, or unusual symptoms Notice significant changes in skin tone Have new or worsening symptoms Pregnancy and Breastfeeding The safety of injectable glutathione during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been fully established
